Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

No you do not need a licence to rent a boat 30hp or below

How many people can fit on one boat?

The maximum amount of people that can fit on our boats is 5 or 4 depending on the boat you hire

Does the boat have life jackets on board?

All of our boats have all the regulation life jackets and safety equipment required by the coastguard and Greek Law

Is fuel included in the price?

Fuel is not included in the price and this is payable upon return to the harbour

Do the boats have a canopy for shade?

Yes, all of our boats have a canopy which we recommend you keep up during the duration of your boat trip

What do I need to bring?

Please remember to bring sun cream, towels, sunglasses and plenty of water for all on board

What is the duration of the boat hire?

You can either rent a boat for half a day (four hours) or a full day (eight hours)

Can we stop somewhere for lunch?

If you would like to have lunch in a taverna in Kalyves please let us know in advance as we will meet you in the harbour and moor up the boat. You cant leave the boat unattended to have lunch in another port. If you would like us to provide options of prepacked lunches for you to enjoy on board then please let us know

Are there any age restrictions on who can hire the boat?

Whoever will be the skipper for the day needs to be a minimum of 18 years old. The youngest passenger allowed on board must be at least 2 years old

Can we take the boat anywhere we like?

On the day of the rental you will be shown the map and given a suggested itinerary of places to visit during your nautical adventure. You will also be shown the boundaries of where you are allowed to take the boat

How do we get to you?

We are located in the town of Kalyves, 20km east of Chania. There is all day parking near by but the town is served well by buses and taxies. On the contact page is a map with how to find us
